alice + shirley + cooking = disaster.

it's SUNDAY!! i was supposed to be couch potato, sitting in front of tv with a bag of chips and coke on the table.. AhhhHH~~ tat's enjoying life.. lol..

But, guess wad? i spent my whole afternoon in the kitchen.. together with my eldest sis.. we are trying to cook lagsana.... surprising enough for those who understands me and my sis well.. you gonna burst out laughing real loud (yeahh.. i know i know..) u will be praying tat i din burn my kitchen and ended up with firefighters rushing to my house.. lol.. tat could be possible right? haha

Initially, at the shopping mall, both of us just plan to bake it. but when we see the instruction, we gave up. we dun even know where can we get nutmeg.. then here comes the DEVIL who challenged us, saying tat we wont be able to cook a lagsana. quickly, we went to take everything except nutmeg and chicken stock.

back at home, we started our mission. lol.. i think some of the pictures will explain how it was going on for the whole afternoon..

sadly. my sis dun even know how to use the can opener. figuring it out.





blame the dumb me for throwing in the beef mince before we defrost it. so we end up having a hard time trying to defrost it in the pan and preventing the carrots, garlic and onion from being charred. it was a really a hard work.




finally. this is the meat sauce. we success! hoooooraaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!



this is the cheese sauce. it looks good. it's fantastic. it's one of its kind.

this is the lagsana for our last attempt.. it look hideous. but dun judge it by its look ler.. it is actually quite delicious. AHEM.. i am an honest kid.



FAILURE :

1. the cheese. it was a sad story. i mistaken it for the butter and i cut it and gave it to my sis. then my sis cook it for a few minutes finding it strange.. why it would not melt. after that only we realise, it is CHEESE.

2. the flour + water + butter. the instruction DID NOT say mix the flour with water. My smart sis and genius me said, we should add water. we add the the 3 stuffs together, we get wad u see in the pic above. FAIL. so we have to repeat the step once more, this time, WITHOUT adding water. and we success!

3. SUGAR. i'm looking for salt. then i found one. i asked my sis to make sure it is salt. i told her, "this is MSG". taking a glimpse of the bottle, she told me, "it is salt". the only choice i left is go out and ask my mum. shocking answer. it is SUGAR. *embarrasing*

4. BEEF MINCE. i did mention earlier how dumb i am. but i havent mention how dumb my sis wad to put it in the freezer as soon as we got home. she was supposed to be putting it to defrost.. hahha.. actually cooking the beef mince is the hardest part. we were sweating. lol..

5. OPERATING THE STUPID MICROWAVE. blame it on Panasonic for giving me a instruction book with recipe and not about HOW TO OPERATE THE STUPID MICROWAVE. we had a hard time trying to figure out how to use it.

i guess that's enough failure for the two of us. lol. but cooking with my eldest sis, i know it will ended up like this. mistakes. mistakes. and more mistakes! lol.. have a great day and superb lagsana. it is delicious. it is yummy. it is tasty. the cost? RM2.8 [for the flour, cuz we need to went out once again to but the flour because we forget about it.] Other food is being sponsored. lol

she is my MUM! lol.. she's helping me to cut the carrots which i was supposed to be cutting.. i am busy with other stuff,k? i got plenty of good excuses. *wink*

but i guess she was right. we cant handle it. the next time u ask me to cook, i'll tell u to go to secret recipe to have lagsana. u dun need to wait whole afternoon just to eat it.

conclusion. my sis and i don't know how to cook. better luck next time.

p/s: the first lagsana picture is not being post because it will make those of you who want to eat lagsana, PUKE. maybe not puke, just lose ur appetite. lol.
